I'm going to the hospital this morning, over 4 years trying to pass a kidney stone. I've spent the past 4 day's throwing up and can't handle
the pain any more

Thanks, yesterday I was told that there are some complications that needed addressed. I guess that my kidney's haven't been functioning right and a
backup of toxins have invaded my body and have to have some surgery done right away, well tomorrow to be exact. I'm a little scared thinking this could of
been prevented and why the red flag wasn't waved before?
This with other stress's of life has brought me to a halt, suddenly I feel so empty and wonder what's around the corner for me. I guess I feel vulnerable something my mind can't process, my lack of invincibility makes me question my next step and I hate that. I know this isn't a major issue here, but it weakens the structure of my life the one thing that keeps me up beat. Jack Raney

Was waiting for the doctor to let me know what time to be there tomorrow, then my GP called to let me know that I have pneumonia. I guess from the vomiting I
must of aspirated and might have to wait for the all clear from that before they can do anything for my kidney's.

Jack,
Keep the faith. I will be praying for you. I am sorry to hear about the pneumonia. Did you have symptoms of that? I never knew you were sick that way. Please keep us posted. You are a mighty strong man. You will get through this, too. Sincerely, Janice |

Jan, this is all new to me. Even though I knew I had a stone problem, I never knew it was this bad. The pneumonia is from aspirating myself when I was vomiting
from the pain, today I can tell there is something loosing in my chest and hope this doesn't keep me from having the procedure done this morning, I'd
hate to have to go through this another week.
Thanks for the kind words everyone, Jack Raney

They decided to do it in 2 parts, I had no idea the taking Motrin was going to be a problem. They removed one stone and put a stint in to help release the
toxins that have accumulated, they also told me that the pneumonia wasn't from aspirating, but from a backup of toxic fluids in my lungs from my
kidney's.
The anesthesiologist kept saying to me that I didn't look anything like my xray, that from what she saw I looked like a goner. 24 hrs later it hurts like a SOB to pee and won't stop till they remove that stint. Next week they will decide when and how they will remove the other stone and by then they should know what caused the stones in the first place. I'm doing better and have a new respect for those who have been there, done that. Jack Raney

Hi Jack!
Hope everything goes well and you get all this behind you. It has to be a great stress when you're well to have surgery, not to mention when you are stricken with this damn disease. I'm also facing some surgery for my eye, one dr. said he wouldn't touch me because of the WNV, the other one said it was no big deal. Jeez, who knows?? But anyway, best of luck to you and let us all know how you're doing. I'll be praying for you. Sashacat |
